The Venue
The Casino Red Casino in the listed Princess Cinema building on Northumberland Street in Huddersfield is a vibrant, safe and exciting addition to Huddersfield’s town centre.
Casino Red have invested £5M in the development to ensure one of Huddersfield’s most loved listed buildings has been sympathetically restored to its former glory as the centrepiece of Huddersfield entertainment. The casino and entertainment venue created over 120 jobs across its leisure and entertainment facilities.

Casino Red chose Huddersfield out of hundreds of possible towns and cities for its first land based casino and entertainment venue.
Visitors to the venue will be welcomed by a breathtaking reception area from which they can access any of the facilities on offer. The venue will be spread over four floors, offering gaming, fine dining and live entertainment to visitors.
The basement will house a dedicated poker room, while the ground floor will host the rest of the venues gaming activities, including Blackjack, Roulette and electronic machines.
The mezzanine circle hosts the spectacular Scarlet restaurant and separate circle bar both with an impressive view onto the ground floor gaming and stage area. A further third floor gallery holds the Ruby Lounge Bar, a VIP or private booking function room with a fantastic view over all floors. The domed ceiling has been restored and complimented to make the venue one of the most impressive of its kind.
Casino Red worked with Leeds-based architects and interior designers WDL to ensure that the building was restored in line with the aesthetics of the existing structure and surroundings. Internally the brief was to retain elements of original features, whilst encompassing contemporary design and latest technologies.
