Casino Red celebrated the opening of the new venue in Huddersfield with a chinese themed party including a traditional lion dance, live musicians and oriental buffet.
On Monday night the Sheffield lion dance group took centre stage at Casino Red as they provided the entertainment for the Chinese themed party.
The night began with a champagne reception before guests were entertained by the traditional musicians.
Then the fun really began as the lion roared through the building before settling on the main gaming floor and carrying out the traditional task of eating a lettuce and tossing an orange, which had to be caught by Business Development Executive and event organiser, James Taylor.
"The event was a great success and was well received by everybody there. The unusual sight of a lion at a Blackjack table certainly demonstrates how we are different to your average Casino.” James added, “I must say a big thank you to the Huddersfield Chinese community centre; the Sheffield lion dance group and Jan from the Home Town Chinese restaurant for making the evening so enjoyable.”
The Chinese theme seems to be the start of things to come at Casino Red as there are now plans to offer an oriental buffet every Monday night. Keep checking the website for up to the minute news on everything that’s going on at Casino Red.
